If I told you you could eat a donut and still stay on track with your macros and fitness goals, would you believe me?

A chocolate cake donut from your local donut shop is about 250 calories, full of sugar, and does not offer much nutritional value.

We made these S’mores Protein Donuts so you can still enjoy your favorite treats without getting off track. We used Chocolate Brownie IdealLean Protein in the batter to up the protein as well- 7 grams per donut! And on top of it, each donut is only 150 calories- 100 calories less than a donut you’d get at the store!


Ingredients for our Low-Cal Snack


  •  ½ cup blanched almond flour
  • 1 scoop IdealLean Chocolate Brownie Protein
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • ½ medium banana, mashed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk



  • 6 tbsp marshmallow cream
  • 1 whole lowfat graham cracker, crushed

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray donut baking pan with nonstick spray and set aside.
  2. Mix almond flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix egg, coconut sugar, mashed banana, vanilla extract, and almond milk.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth. Add batter to piping or ziploc bag and pipe batter into 6 donut molds.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cool and remove donuts carefully from pan. When ready to serve, top each donut with 1 tbsp of marshmallow cream and crushed graham cracker and enjoy!
