Do you find yourself absolutely starving around 2 or 3 in the afternoon? I call those the after-lunch blues. I get super tired and at that point, it’s either a nap or a snack. Naps are great and all, but I can’t just curl up under my desk at work and zonk out! So, snacks it is.
I love snacking. Snacks are better than meals, sometimes, amiright?? Snacks are always more salty, more crunchy, and more easy to binge than regular meals.
I try really hard to find snacks that aren’t going to make me bloated if I eat buckets, and I think I found my new favorite. Mocha. Glazed. Almonds. Yum. Gosh, I could pop these babies all day. Bonus, they are seriously SO easy to make.
Any kind of nut is already my fav (we’re a little nutty over here) but there is something about that Mocha flavor that makes these almonds straight-up addictive. The BEST part is, this recipe has 8 grams of protein in one serving!! These keep me full and guilt-free.
“Where does all that protein come from?” you might be asking yourself. Well, lemme tell ya. IdealRaw Organic Protein recently released this kick-butt Mocha flavor and it has got my whole world turned upside down. You won’t find any unnatural flavors or ingredients you don’t recognize in this protein. Straight organic, all day every day. What you see is what you get with IdealRaw Organic Protein!
You can use whole almonds (like me) or you can crush up the almonds into smaller pieces for more of a trail mix texture.
I like to make up a big batch of these Mocha Glazed Almonds at the beginning of the week and then bring a bunch to keep at work. It makes for super easy, protein-filled snacking.
