There is nothing like the smell of banana bread fresh from the oven. Every bite brings back happy memories of eating my mom’s banana bread as a kid.We took all of the favorite things we love about banana bread and made it into a waffle!

A quick way to eat a classic. We used IdealShake to help amp up the protein content and make it a balanced breakfast.

Each waffle contains 20g of protein, and is a perfect way to start your day. Or a perfect breakfast for a chill Sunday morning.

Ingredients for our waffle

 

  • ¼ cup oat flour
  • 1 scoop Vanilla IdealShake
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • ½ medium banana, mashed
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tbsp walnuts

Banana Bread Waffles | Breakfast of Champions

  • Serves: 1 waffle

Instructions

  1. Mix oat flour, IdealLean French Vanilla Protein, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg until combined.
  2. Add mashed banana, egg white, and almond milk and mix until smooth.
  3. Pour into heated waffle iron and remove when done.
  4. Top with walnuts and other desired toppings such as syrup, fruit, etc. Enjoy!
