I don’t know about you, but I get sick of eating the same meals everyday! Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are delicious, but lets be real- they get old fast after you’ve eaten them for a while.

This Banana Almond Sandwich we made is the perfect way to spice up lunch time. Move over, pb&j’s! There’s a new sandwich in town!

Lets break the sandwich down:

We used greek yogurt cream cheese and almond butter to make the spread creamy and filling. Then we topped it with more almonds, because almonds are so good for you. Not only are almonds packed with fiber, they also contain riboflavin and L-carnitine, which help promote cognitive function. So say hello to a boost in brain power!

We also used Banana Almond IdealRaw to add more protein- 18 grams per sandwich!

Ingredients for our Sandwich

 

  • 1 oz greek cream cheese. softened

  • 1 tbsp almond butter, softened

  • 1 tbsp Banana Almond IdealRaw

  • dash of cinnamon

  • 1 whole wheat sandwich thin

  • banana, sliced

  • 2 tsp sliced almonds

Banana Almond Sandwich – Spice up Lunchtime

  • Serves: 1
  • Yield: 1 sandwich

Instructions

  1. Stir together all of the ingredients until smooth.  Add a splash of water or unsweetened almond milk if the mixture is too thick.  Spread on the sandwich thins, top with sliced bananas and sliced almonds. Enjoy!
